Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first person in history to achieve a score of 10 in an Olympic competition. Comaneci was first discovered by Bela Karolyi later the Romanian gymnastics coach at the time she was just six years old. Comaneci competed for the first time in the national junior championships and finished 13th. The following year she was crowned champion. In 1972, at the communist nations' meet for junior athletes before the Olympics she was awarded three gold medals. Then in 1973 and '74 she was the overall junior champion. When she competed for the first time at a senior level Lyudmila Turkishcheva from Russia took home five gold medals aswell as one silver. The year was 1976 when she took home the American Cup at the New York City Olympic Games and became the first woman to ever dismount bars in parallel with backwards double salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. In her teens she was performing on touring shows like Ice Capades as a skater along with her younger sibling Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on 6th September 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol entered the entertainment industry in her teens. The path she took to success began when she joined her sister Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling spectacle of entertainment. They featured staged ice skating shows.
