April Lockhart

April Lockhart is a born July 4th April, 1995. In the seventh grade she began taking piano and guitar lessons. This ignited her passion for songwriting. April's very first song was called Different, which she wrote when she was 12 years old. When she was 14 April was devoted for a long period of time in creating song concepts and practicing her musical skills. Then, she began going to NY and LA along with her dad to help them write songs. April began to include various other topics relevant to the Take my Hand song for some friends, such as peer-pressure issues and suicide among teens. Lockhart has become a sought-after lifestyle blogger and being a partner with clean beauty brands Ilia, has built a large following. As a woman born with no left hand, she is a major part of her. It's however not the only thing she has to tell. Lockhart's Instagram account doesn't ignore her handicap. But it also doesn't emphasize it. What message does it convey? It is important to remember that everyone has numerous faces. Our identities are diverse and we're more than our bodies. I do not want this to determine me. I do not wish to become a disability influencer where it's the only thing I discuss because there are many different things about my life. Lockhart states in video form from her home in Nashville. This doesn't interfere with my life. It's all normal, and I have learned to make adjustments. Because it's my identity, it's something that's worth talking about. Lockhart inspires us to keep moving forward with self-acceptance. Still, she acknowledges going through periods of feeling insecure about her body and feeling uncomfortable in certain clothes which showed her arms. She now wears whatever she'd like. and she shares pictures on social media. Self-love she said is a kind of journey. "I believe that you will ever be there," she said. However, that is typical for people with doubts. It's essential to have those in your life who know and can relate to the way you feel. They'll be the ones to ask your: What are you fret about?
